Series – Creative Colouring For Grown Ups

All of Michael O’Maras book are of a wonderful quality, and this is no exception. The book is A4 size, sturdy and well constructed.

The paper is medium thickness, although I have had no issues with bleeding, smooth and white. Pictures are double sided, and with most of the MOM books I have reviewed, have that lovely 0.5-1cm border to prevent the picturebecoming unreachable and disappearing into the spine.

Now, full disclosure – I know very little about Scandinavian Folk Pattterns. So I have no idea about the accuracy of these, but I can judge them as colouring pages.

There is a large variety in this book – scenes, patterns, mandalas, animals, still life scenes. Along with this, comes a variety of line thicknesses and intricacies.

If you like to colour calming scenes, this is a wonderful book for you. There is a wonderful variety of images, from patterns to mandalas to winter scenes, and I think that no matter your ability to concentrate at the time, you will find something to suit you.

I would recommend this to anyone who is fond of the subject matter – I find it calming and it’s easy to find something to suit your needs at the time – whether that is large levels of pain, anxiety, needing distraction or insomnia.
